How to protect your hair if you love the outdoors like Rihanna
Rihanna’s forever-on holiday, if she is not sailing the European oceans, she is swimming and beach bathing on the Barbados beach. However did you know that the sun could cause damage to your hair like any other heat styling tool.
Rihanna seems to be someone who loves her hair, the stars hair is always in tiptop shape, but what keep hair looking beautiful especially if you are always playing in the sun like Rihanna?
I am sure Rihanna’s hairstylist, gives her hair tips, a special kit, that the star, travels with, to protect her hair while on vacation, but what can you do today to repair and protect your hair from spoiling your days in the sun?.
Well, I am not Rihanna’s hairstylist, so I cannot tell you what Rihanna’s using but I will be discussing hair tips, to help you along the way, and keep you happy and worry free for your days in the sun.
- Hair tip one: for those of you who love playing in hot weather
Before stepping out into the sun, use a hair spray that contains, a sunscreen, if you have relaxed hair or even curly hair not to worry, using an oil based sunscreen can actually help your moisturize your hair while in the sun. Oil sunscreens can be used with natural oils while in the sun, or even in lieu of natural oil. The suncreens can then be rinsed after your day in the sun.
- Hair tip two:
If you’re going on holiday, then take along and intensive hair conditioner, that you can use to co wash your hair, for days you have spent swimming or spent walking in the sun. Intensive conditioners can also be used to ”shampoo” yet nourish your hair. This helps repairs the sun damage on your hair.
- Hair tip three:
Wear a light colored hat; light colors reflect sunlight more, while dark colors absorb them. You will find that wearing a light colored hat will not only keep you cool, but your hair as well.
- Hair tip four:
Take a clear hair glaze with you on holiday, as this can help keep your hair looking healthy through the holidays. Hair glazes work by coating the hair shaft, with polymers that act as a conditioner. Hair glazes can be used on holiday when your hair is looking dull, there easy to apply and use.
